She and International Crisis Group’s Ashish Pradhan will discuss her new book, Incredible Commitments: How UN Peacekeeping Failures Shape Peace Processes, which asks why warring parties turn to UN peacekeeping and peacemaking, even when they have little faith in peacekeepers’ ability to uphold peace agreements. The answers will have significant implications for practitioners and scholars alike.
