In the past, communities of color have been left behind during economic recoveries. Given the outsized impact of the pandemic on Chicago鈥檚 communities of color, it will take years for people to recover emotionally and financially. With support from聽 and the initiative, the partnered with 国产视频 Chicago to hold Community Conversations in seven majority Black and Latinx areas of the city and suburbs. In the process of listening to communities, the team learned much about the long-term effects of the pandemic and the resilience of the communities featured. Distilled in the report, 鈥溾 these community insights and experiences are guiding We Rise Together efforts and can be useful to civic leaders as public funding and private resources are being directed to achieve an equitable and inclusive recovery.聽

Learn more about how the pandemic has impacted residents in some of the hardest hit neighborhoods and suburbs, as well as what residents鈥 vision for recovery looks like. The event will include an overview of how recovery dollars could be used in the city, county, and state to invest equitably in recovery, as well as time for questions and answers.聽

Anteriormente, comunidades minor铆as se hab铆an dejado atr谩s durante recuperaciones econ贸micas.

聽Tambi茅n habr谩 tiempo para preguntas y respuestas.
