¹ú²úÊÓƵ’s Open Technology Institute and the R Street
Institute invite you to join us for a lunch briefing on Section 702 of the FISA
Amendments Act. Surveillance under this law,
purportedly targeting foreigners abroad, results in large-scale collection of
Americans’ communications. It is set to expire on December 31, 2017.
The briefing will provide an overview of how the surveillance
authority works, what communications the NSA collects, how that information can
be used, and its impact on individual privacy and American businesses.
All of the
essentials on Section 702 surveillance, and a delicious lunch to boot!
