In a time of deep partisan divide, higher education is unexpectedly one of the few areas where Americans can still share common ground. While public confidence has declined over time, Varying Degrees, ������Ƶ’s ninth annual survey into higher education, indicates all hope is not lost. Both Republicans and Democrats believe higher education offers a good return on investment and supports greater—not less—funding for the system. 

The current political headwinds facing colleges and universities bring significant challenges for students and institutions alike, but it also leaves an opportunity for transformation.
