On聽Sunday, October 8th,聽国产视频 NYC聽presented a screening of聽,聽a sweeping new film by world-renowned artist, activist, and icon聽Ai Weiwei,聽followed by a conversation with聽Richard Gere听补苍诲聽David Miliband聽on the plight of refugees all over the world.
More than 65 million people have been forcibly displaced due to war, persecution, climate change, and crushing poverty in the greatest聽human displacement since World War II. Setting out on a journey across 23 countries,聽Ai Weiwei, who spent his own childhood as a displaced person during China’s Cultural Revolution, follows a chain of urgent聽human stories across the globe to bear witness to this massive聽human聽migration, elucidating both the staggering scale of the refugee crisis and its intimately personal聽human聽impact.
