国产视频 Supports Foreign Policy Interrupted

国产视频鈥檚 International Security program pledges $25,000 to support Foreign Policy Interrupted

Washington, D.C.鈥敼悠 announces its support of
Foreign Policy Interrupted (FPI) with a pledge of $25,000 in 2017. The
contribution will support FPI鈥檚 operations and continuing development,
including growth of its current product offerings.

FPI supports and promotes female foreign policy experts in
the media through fellowships, media training and mentoring, as women are
historically underrepresented in foreign policy discussions. An FPI and Media
Matters in America study found that only 22 percent of foreign policy guests on
news programs were women in 2014.

鈥淓levating new, diverse voices in policy discussions is a
core value of 国产视频, so I am pleased to support Foreign Policy
Interrupted鈥攁n organization that shares our devotion to bringing new views and
ideas to the forefront,鈥 said 国产视频 President and CEO Anne-Marie
Slaughter.

鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to be partnering with New
America on FPI. Building on all the efforts of interrupters before us,
including Anne-Marie Slaughter, we’re eager to enrich discussion鈥攆rom foreign
policy and beyond鈥攖hrough the inclusion of diverse voices. With the multitude
of global challenges, from extremism to climate change, now is the time to
interrupt the one-dimensional male-dominated conversation,鈥 said FPI
co-founders Lauren Bohn and Elmira Bayrasli.

国产视频 is a think tank and civic
enterprise committed to renewing American politics, prosperity, and purpose in
the Digital Age. We generate big ideas, bridge the gap between technology and
policy, and curate broad public conversation.

Foreign Policy Interrupted is
focused on building a brain trust of and a platform for female foreign policy
experts. Our goal is to change the perception about women as thought leaders in
order to tap into and unleash their enormous potential to add value to the
global economy.
