- OTI and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) led a group of 12 civil rights, digital rights, and civil liberties organizations in addressing a letter to members of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, warning that the Kids Off Social Media Act (KOSMA) would, if enacted, 鈥渁ctively undermine child safety, harm marginalized youth, erode privacy, and impose unconstitutional restrictions on young people鈥檚 ability to engage online.鈥

- OTI and 26 other civil society organizations decried the White House鈥檚 partisan firing of three members of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB) in a letter sent to Congressional leadership, further urging Congress to 鈥渞e-double its own oversight activities given the harm to PCLOB, as well as to restore the Board鈥檚 independence, shield it from interference, and strengthen PCLOB so it can again perform its vital work protecting Americans鈥 rights and guarding against improper surveillance.鈥
