Senior Policy Manager, Postsecondary Pathways for Youth
Lindsey Phillips is a Senior Policy Manager with the Center on Education and Labor. In this role, she is committed to advancing high-quality and equitable pathways for youth to transition from high school into postsecondary opportunities and on to meaningful careers. Phillips plays a key role in supporting two multi-partner national initiatives, the Launch Pathways Initiative and the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship (PAYA) .
Prior to joining ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ, Phillips worked as the Pathways Program Manager at the Texas Education Agency where she was instrumental in the advancement of the Texas Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative, a collaborative effort among state agency partners in K-12, higher education, and workforce development to develop strong links between education and industry. Phillips led the Texas Regional Pathways Network, established the first cohort of Tri-Agency Regional Conveners, and served on the Tri-Agency workgroup for advising and work-based learning. She also convened a statewide steering committee to develop, field test, and pilot Texas' first Effective Advising Framework. Â
Other prior experiences include leading regional pathways initiatives at the West Central Texas Workforce Development Board, working in higher education admissions and financial aid, and serving as a school counselor in a rural northeast Missouri school district. Phillips holds a master's in school counseling and is a certified K-12 school counselor in Missouri.
